Mobilink has launched Pakistan’s first Phone Trade Programme

Mobilink has launched Pakistan’s first Phone Trade Programme, enabling customers to exchange their old cell phones with the latest 3G supported smartphones of their choice by paying the differential cost. The programme is aimed at providing Mobilink customers with affordable access to 3G smartphones via a trusted retail channel for exchange of their devices. The newly purchased phones will come with Mobilink pre-loaded 3-month data bundle offer, said a statement.

Aamer Manzoor, Head of Data Mobilink commenting on the launch of the Phone Trade Programme said, “Mobilink has invested more than $4.3 billion in its operations and network modernisation in Pakistan. We are the country’s largest 3G-ready network, and this Phone Trade Programme is in line with our strategy to improve customer experience, by providing the latest technology and best voice and data offers. I am confident that this programme will equip our customers with the best devices, empower them to use future technology and encourage them to make the most out of Mobilink’s best data offers on the go.”

The exchange programme is currently being offered at Mobilink’s Islamabad Business Centre, Blue Area as a pilot project and will subsequently extend to the major cities of Pakistan. Customers can exchange their old handsets after proper verification of IMEI and security checks with brand new 3G supported smartphones that have pre-loaded data bundle offer with fair usage of 2GB. Phones of various brands including Samsung, HTC, iPhone and Huawei are available at the Business Centre with Q-Mobile to be made available soon.
