Ms. Anusha Rahman, presided 11th International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology

The Honorable Minister of State for IT, Ms. Anusha Rahman, presided as the Guest of Honor at the 11th International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology. The FIT 2013 conference, organized by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, that was held at Serena Hotel Islamabad from the 16th to 18th December 2013.

The conference was attended by  notable professors and industry leaders from across the globe as guest speakers to highlight the latest in Information & Communications Technologies. Tutorials and workshops allowed audiences to get a firsthand experience of the latest ICT developments. The event also showcased achievements of students and IT industry in Pakistan.

Ms. Anusha Rahman spoke at the final day of the conference and praised the efforts of the event organizers and participants. She emphasized the importance of such endeavors as a means to encourage the aptitude within the Pakistani youth and to promote the accomplishments of Pakistan’s IT Industry. The Minister also visited the IT Projects developed by COMSAT’s students and appreciated their talent saying that their achievements reflected a bright future for the youth in Pakistan. The Minister further added that IT students from Pakistan should avail the Prime Minister’s Youth Loan Program and work towards becoming entrepreneurs. She hoped that they take full advantage of this significant opportunity and utilize it fully to boost the Pakistan’s software products at national and international fora. The Minister looked forward to seeing many more achievements of the Pakistani youth in the field of ICT through such platforms.
