King Salman Receives Award of Information Technology and Communication in Sustainable Development

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received on Sunday, at Al-Yamamah Palace, Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation between the two countries.

The reception was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet’s Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani, and Swiss Ambassador to the Kingdom Heinrich Schellenberg.

On the other hand, King Salman also received at Al-Yamamah palace the Secretary General of International Telecommunication Union Houlin Zhao.

At the outset of the reception, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques received the Award of Information Technology and Communication in Sustainable Development, marking the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Union in recognition of the Saudi King, the leading role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Union, and its efforts being exerted in the field of technology and communications.

The audience was attended by Minister of State and Cabinet Member Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwayel, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Nizar bin Obaid Madani and Director of Arab Regional Office at the International Telecommunication Union, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Haddad.
