At the 9th International Defense Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS 2016 in Karachi, Rohde & Schwarz will present some key solutions from its broad product portfolio. The electronics group will stage a variety of new and established solutions from its different business fields.
Rohde & Schwarz will present its software defined tactical radio R&S SDTR in conjunction with innovative high data rate (HDR) waveforms. Furthermore, the open architecture following the software communications architecture (SCA) standard allows porting of third-party waveforms. The tactical radio is especially designed for use in vehicles and allows minimum antenna spacing. The waveform family supports mobile networking, which is required for network centric operations and automatic adaptation to network changes, thanks to the use of mobile ad hoc network protocols.
Rohde & Schwarz is also introducing R&S NAVICS, the latest generation, VoIP-based switching system for naval communications. Rohde & Schwarz has decades of experience in naval communications. As a system integrator R&S offers a comprehensive suite of secure communications solutions for advanced naval applications. Other highlights include the new R&S ARDRONIS solution, meeting the security challenges that microdrones pose and offering countermeasures. The R&S ARDRONIS automatic radio-controlled drone identification solution is the ideal approach for the demanding applications in drone monitoring.The system enables users to identify microdrone control signals early on, and locate the drone’s operator and disrupt the control link.Another highlight is the ELINT solution from Rohde & Schwarz, an innovative radar signal collection and analysis system. Rohde & Schwarz offers a complete portfolio of radar signal collection and analysis products. It is focused on operator usability and functionality and contains many features that support the operator in dense signal environments.
In addition, Rohde & Schwarz will present products from its continually growing test and measurement portfolio. Highlights include the powerful oscilloscopes from the T&M expert, which stand for an excellent signal fidelity, a high acquisition rate, an innovative trigger system and a clever user interface. Rohde & Schwarz has a wide range of oscilloscopes, from value class for service, maintenance and education to our top instruments for R&D or EMI debugging in the 600 MHz to 4 GHz class.
One of the highlight exhibits at the IDEAS 2016 from Rohde & Schwarz is their all new R&S QPS Quick Personnel Security Scanner. The R&S QPS is the new way in personnel security scanning, a state-of-the-art millimeter-wave full-body scanner that automatically detects potentially dangerous items carried on the body or in clothing. The scanner can be used for airport security checks, security at public events with a high threat potential and access control at security related facilities.
