Chinese investors intend to investment in Pakistan’s IT sector

A delegation comprising of Chinese Government functionaries and investors met the Minister for IT here in her office today.  During the meeting, the Chinese team showed their keen interest to collaborate with Pakistani Government for potential investment in IT sector, particularly in the field of establishing software technology parks.

Minister for IT, Anusha Rahman has briefed them about the ongoing endeavors in the field of ICT and her future vision to maximize the digital potential of the country. She said, “We are conscious of our IT potential and all efforts are geared to harness this potential for the socio economic progress of the country.  We are building an eco system in the shape of software parks and start up budding centers that would help grow this industry in a more paced manner. Through this eco system we intend to prepare a crop of next generation technology entrepreneurs for the country”
The Chinese delegation appreciated the passionate commitment of the Minister for the development of ICT sector in Pakistan and reciprocated their resolve to strengthen the ties of friendship with Pakistan by making investment in IT sector of Pakistan with the collaboration of local partners, to help achieve the digital vision of Government of Pakistan
