apple 13 million iphone sales New record

ISLAMABAD ( MEDIA REPORTS )

Apple said it sold more than 13 million iphone 6s and iphone 6s plus devices – unsurprisingly, another “new record” – in the three days following its launch.

The company also said it will bring the device to more than 40 new markets from 9 October, including Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Taiwan. By the end of the year, Apple is targeting more than 130 countries.

Apple made the device available on Friday, in markets including the US, UK, China, France, Germany and Japan.

This time last year, first weekend iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales stood at 10 million, which at that point also marked a new record. This came despite delays to availability in the lucrative Chinese market.

First weekend iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c sales  stood at 9 million and for iPhone 5 the number was  5 million (this launch also did not include China among the initial markets).
